Veteran Nollywood actress, Regina Askia has shared the conversation she had with her colleague, Alex Ekubo, over singer D’banj’s alleged arrest.
Recall that during the midweek, Nigerian singer, Dbanj was reportedly detained by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) over alleged fraud.
The singer was accused of fraudulently diverting funds for empower youths under the N-Power project into his personal accounts.
Reacting to the news, Regina took to her Instagram page to share the report with her followers and said she’s patiently waiting to hear D’banj’s statement on the allegation.
However, Alex Ekubo was not pleased with her reaction, so he sent her a DM and expressed dissatisfaction in her for posting about the arrest.
Responding to Alex anger, she asked if she was supposed to compromised the ‘truth’ because of fear of being dragged online, or because D’banj is a popular figure loved by many. She however eventually agreed to delete the post and thanked the actor for looking out of her.
According to Alex, it’s wrong for a celebrity like Regina Askia to post about the downfall of another celebrity because there are numerous blogs for that already.
