Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has declared that he won’t be celebrating his 61 birthday today, March 1.
The thespian, in a video he shared on his Instagram page on March 1, said he decided to cancel all birthday celebrations because of the results of the presidential election.
Recall that INEC chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu, this morning declared Tinubu, a former Lagos governor, the winner of the 2023 presidential election this morning.
Speaking on the election result, Kanayo, who is a staunch supporter of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate Peter Obi, accused INEC of compromising the election results.
He specifically faulted the failure of the INEC to transmit the election results electronically through the use of Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS), via the INEC Server, which resulted in the use of manual collation system.
He maintained that he has no plans of celebrating his 61st birthday because the “heart of Nigeria is bleeding.”
Sharing the video on his Instagram page, he wrote, “I am not celebrating my birthday today because INEC sold SHAME in the market. God bless you, my fans and well-wishers for your support and prayers.”
