Finally the much anticipated album of popular dancehall singer, Patoranking, is out to the delight of his teeming fans.
“I want people to know that amidst having fun God still comes first, hence the choice of the name, God Over Everything. The album is about love, God , my life ,where I come from and where I am headed,” he said.
The lanky artiste also shed light on the inspiration behind his music.
He said, “I was raised in a small slum in Lagos known as Ilaje. My family lived in extreme poverty and my parents struggled to put food on the table. By the age of thirteen, I began hawking various goods to passengers on traffic because I desperately wanted to move my family out of the ghetto, in hopes of providing a better environment for my siblings to grow up and a more comfortable life for my parents. Then God blessed me with music. I learnt from life experiences I garnered over the years and I encapsulate the entirety of my being into my music.
He further added that he makes music that everybody can relate to and this also influences his choice of collaboration
