Angry youths in Katsina State on Thursday, January 26, took to the street to protest the state of the nation.
This comes as President Muhammad Buhari arrived the state on a two-day visit to inaugurate some selected projects executed by the state government.
The residents staged the protest at Kofar Kaura, Kofar Kwaya and on Yahaya Madaki way in Katsina, saying the economic policy of the government is not working.
DailyTrust reports that the protesters lit bonfire and threw stones and other items at some government vehicles.
The protesters said they were displeased over fuel scarcity, inflation and insecurity.
An eyewitness disclosed that immediately the president left Kofar Kaura, some youths who were shouting “Bamayi” began to b¥rn tyres and pelt stones at some security agents who fir£d teargas in response.
In the video obtained, the youths were seen chasing a police officer and were throwing stones at him.
