Olanrewaju James, a Yoruba actor popularly known as Baba Ijesha who is embattled for alleged sexual asault, has been granted bail on health grounds.
Recalled that Baba Ijesha had been in custody at the State CID, Panti, for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old-girl in the home of comedienne Adekola Adekanya, popularly called ‘Princess.’
However, the industrial strike by the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), which led to the clossure of courts led to the adjournment of the case.
Baba Ijesha is yet to be released as his lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, is working towards perfecting his bail condition which includes that he must have two sureties. One of the sureties must be a Level 10 Public officer while the second surety must be a relation of the actor. The bail is put at N500, 000 in bond.
The accused actor is yet to be charged to court due to the industrial strike by the Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN)
