Atila Pesyani (Persian: آتیلا پسیانی) was a prominent Iranian actor and director who was active in cinema, theater and television. He was born on April 30, 1957 in Tehran, Iran. He was the son of Jamileh Sheykhi, a famous actress and singer. He studied painting at the College of Fine Arts in Tehran and later pursued acting at the Dramatic Arts Academy. He started his career in theater in 1984 and soon became one of the leading figures of the Iranian stage. He worked with renowned directors such as Bahram Beizai, Peter Brook, Mohammad Rahmanian and Ali Rafiei. He also directed several plays, such as The Cherry Orchard, The Seagull, The Glass Menagerie and Death of a Salesman.

Pesyani made his film debut in 1988 with The Last Act, directed by Varuzh Karim-Masihi. He appeared in more than 40 films, some of which are considered classics of Iranian cinema.
