Creator of SpongeBob, Stephen Hillenburg dies at 57

‘SpongeBob Squarepants’ creator,  Stephen Hillenburg has died at the age of 57, the news was first put out by the Nickelodeon television network on Tuesday.

Hillenburg was a marine biology teacher who used to create sea creatures as teaching tools,  hence, it brought about the character ‘Spongebob Squarepants’ .

Hillenburg who died on Monday had earlier made it known that he was suffering from the neurodegenerative disease ALS,  also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
