Davido signs ex-convict, Saucekid, to his record label

Just few days after announcing the signing of Idowest to his DMW record label, Davido announces the signing of another act, Saucekid. This is coming few weeks after Saucekid got released form jail in America where he served time for credit fraud related issues.

The new act will be joining the likes of Davido, Dremo, Mayorkun, Yonda, Peruzzi and Idowest as member of the DMW team.

Saucekid was introduced to the Nigerian music scene in 2005 when he dropped a mild hit ‘Omoge’ featuring legendary musician, Mike Okri.

He immediately followed the success and acceptance with a mixtape ‘ Best of Both Worlds: Money Long The Mixtape ’ which is still regarded as one of the best mixtapes ever released in Nigeria.

He was teamed up with Teebillz who helped push Tiwa Savage’s career to the top. They formed a company called QBeats which saw the rapper rivaling the likes of Modenine and Ruggedman.

His acceptance in the Nigerian music industry despite his American flow emboldened the rapper and his crew to confront Modenine for a battle.

Modenine rejected the challenge, refused to honor it, because he felt ambushed by it. He was angry and sent them away.

That battle never happened, but it was a manifestation of how talented Sinzu was to the point of battling Modenine, Nigeria’s greatest lyricist, Pulse reports.

Later on, the rapper moved on to drop a hit single which features a young Davido and titled Carolina.

Since then, his career has been on and off especially with the sick acceptance rap has been getting of late.
