Award winning US comedian and actor, Kevin Hart has been surprisingly withdrawn from hosting the Oscars Award which comes up on Thursday night, reasons directed towards an anti-gay tweets he posted. .
You would recall that the comedian was gushing and basking in the euphoria of hosting the Oscars some days back, however, just two days after, he had made it known via a video he uploaded that he would no more be hosting the Oscar’s. .
Apparently the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences head told him to choose between apologising for the tweets — he posted about a decade ago– or losing the role. .
“I chose to pass on the apology. The reason why I passed is because I’ve addressed this several times.”
“The same energy that was used to find the video should be used in getting the responses I made to it too…” he said .
However, Kevin Hart has taken to the twitter page to apologise to the LGBTQ community.
