Franklin’s family spoke with Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411 and shared that she is “gravely ill” and is asking for prayers at this time.
Franklin, who is 76-year-old has been struggling with health and weight problems throughout the years.
She last performed less than a year ago in November of 2017 at a fundraiser for the Elton John AIDS Foundation in New York.
However, she had to cancel a series of concerts, saying it was “doctors’ orders.”
