USA’s women football team goalkeeper, Hope Solo has accused FIFA president, Sepp Blatter of sexually harassmment.
Solo said Blatter, grabbed her backside during the 2013 FIFA Ballon d’Or ceremony.
Solo, 36, claimed the ousted FIFA boss pounced as she was about to present an award to her teammate, Abby Wambach.
“Sepp Blatter grabbed my ass, it was a few years ago at the Ballon d’Or ceremony just before I got on stage,” Solo said.
But in a swift reaction, Blatter has denied the allegation.
The 81-year-old told AFP the accusations were “absurd and ridiculous”.
Blatter was president of FIFA from 1998 to 2015 until he was banned for corruption.
