Tyga reportedly avoids facing felony charge in domestic violence case

According to TMZ, Tyga will not face criminal charges in his domestic violence case, as long as he stays out of trouble for the next year. If he does find himself in any legal trouble, prosecutors could end up filing misdemeanor charges against him.

Tyga was arrested in October on charges of suspicion of domestic violence after his girlfriend, Camaryn Swanson, claimed that Tyga hit her. Swanson shared photos of bruises on her face on Instagram, while also telling her followers that she was standing up for herself.

Last month, Tyga and Camaryn were seen hanging out together. Sources close to the situation told TMZ that the two aren’t back together, but they are casually hanging out.

According to TMZ, Tyga won’t face felony charges in connection to the domestic violence case against him.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office decided against charging the LA rapper with a felony and passed the case along to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Since the LA County DA only has the power to charge individuals with felonies, it’s safe to say that Tyga won’t face any felony charges.

After being booked earlier this month, Tyga wrote on his Instagram Story, “I want everyone to know that the allegations against me are false,” adding, “I was not arrested. I took myself into the police station and cooperated. I have not been charged with any crime.”
