Popular American Singer, Mariah Carey had sued promoters, FEG Entretenimientos S. A. for not receiving payments for her scheduled shows after they got canceled.
They responded with a countersuit, accusing Mariah of defaming them with a tweet, .
“Devastated my shows in Chile, Argentina & Brazil had to be cancelled. My fans deserve better than some of these promoters treated them. ”
The promoters accused Mariah of knowingly, falsely and defamatorily causing irreparable damage to their reputation.
The judge dismissed the case on Wednesday, calling the tweet opinion that did not cause any damage.
The promoters were also ordered to pay $2 million for defamation and $1 Million for cancellation of her shows.
