We hereby address the recent, deeply troubling and unfounded claims made by a controversial singer, Portable Omolalomi, regarding the tragic death of the talented artist, Mohbad. We want to clarify and set the record straight regarding these allegations.
Portable Omolalomi has made allegations that Mohbad’s departure from the Marlian Music label, and his subsequent association with individuals critical of Naira Marley, led to his untimely demise.

These claims while seemingly well-intentioned, do not represent the true events. It is also a known fact that Portable frequently engages on social media, often making statements that lack coherence or logical consistency. It has however stirred concern and controversy, and we are here to refute them.

First and foremost, the investigations into Mohbad’s tragic death have been carried out meticulously and have revealed that his passing was not connected to any alleged betrayal, nor was Naira Marley involved in any way. The cause of Mohbad’s death was determined to be unrelated to any sinister plot or conspiracy, as has been suggested. We want to frankly say that there is no connection between Naira Marley and the Suspected killers.

Furthermore, we want to emphatically state that Naira Marley is not a member of the Eiye or Aiye cult groups, as some have suggested. Such claims are entirely unfounded and should be disregarded.

The notion that Mohbad was killed due to betrayal and Naira Marley’s involvement is entirely baseless. Marlian Music and Naira Marley have consistently nurtured and supported young artists, and Mohbad’s departure from the label was based on personal and professional choices, not animosity. It is important to emphasize that Naira Marley’s support for Mohbad was genuine and unselfish, as he has done with many other artists under his care.

We call for the responsible reporting of information and encourage support and empathy for Mohbad’s family, friends, and the Marlian Music community during this difficult time. We will continue to focus on getting Justice for Mohbad.
