Kambilichukwu’s untimely passing in March 2023, following a sudden medical emergency, left a void in the Edochie family. Amidst personal challenges, including a strained relationship with his first wife, May, over their marriage, Yul Edochie turned to social media to share his innermost feelings.
In his poignant tribute, the actor reflected on his unexpected journey of penning such a message. He expressed his profound longing for his son and his hopes for Kambili’s peace in the afterlife. Edochie wrote,
“Kambi yooooo! Happy 17th birthday, my great son. Hope you’re doing well over there.”
He recounted a dream where he saw Kambili, taller and radiant, suggesting a contented life beyond, possibly with a newfound interest in basketball.
