Simi has emerged as the Songwriter of The Year at the 2017 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The Nigerian singer won the award for her single ‘Smile’ at the ceremony which held at the Eko Convention Center, Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos.
The singer signed to X3M Music have had a great year.
The singer released her debut album, “Simisola” which produced top singles ‘Joromi’ .
Her song ‘Smile’, produced by Oscar Heman-Ackah, was released in January 2017.
On it, the singer is asking her partner to take a chance on her as regards their love voyage because he’s the one her heart belongs to.
Simi later gave a thrilling performance of her hit song ‘Joromi’, as she celebrated her win.
