Popular Lagos-based Twitter influencer, Pamilerin Adegoke has allegedly been detained by the state police command.
According to social media sources, he was invited for questioning on Monday, March 8, 2021 over an undisclosed issue and he honoured their invitation by visiting the police station on Tuesday.
However, unconfirmed reports also claim that he was invited over his tweet targeted an APC supporter identified as Iyabo Awokoya.
Awokoya had earlier in a tweet promised to ‘deal’ with the social media influencer.
“Is there anyone who please who knows Dr Pam Pam personally and knows his telephone number. I need to make an example of someone,” she had tweeted.
According to a letter dated March 4 and signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke, the Twitter influencer was asked to report at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba on March 09, 2021.
Pamilerin had earlier taken to his Twitter handle to announce the invitation.
